Afro-Asian Journal of Human Sciences

The publication of the second issue of the Afro-Asian Journal of Human Sciences coincides with ongoing academic developments witnessed by the university. The university successfully organized its first scientific conference entitled: "(Climate Change and its Repercussions: Foresight and Treatment)," and is currently preparing to organize its second scientific conference, entitled: "(Arabs in a Changing World: Opportunities and Challenges)."

These achievements are attributed to the concerted, collaborative, dedicated, and sincere efforts of all university affiliates, and the judicious administration of those in charge, led by the University President, Vice-Presidents, Faculty Deans, Department Heads, faculty members, and staff across all scientific and technical fields.

This issue features six valuable research papers prepared by distinguished professors affiliated with Arab and African universities, addressing diverse scholarly issues:

• The first study examined the impact of economic concentration processes on commercial companies and the treatment of this concept in Jordanian law. It analyzed two means of economic concentration – acquisition and merger – noting their insufficient legislative regulation in the Jordanian Companies Law.
• The second study aimed to identify the correlational relationship between ethical personality and professional self among public secondary school teachers, and to reveal differences between male and female teachers in these attributes.
• The third study, titled: "Institutions in Al-Andalus in the Book 'Taqwim Cordoba' by 'Arib ibn Sa'id al-Qurtubi (d. 369 AH/979 AD)," aimed to clarify the role of climate and its positive or negative impact on Al-Andalus, its contribution to shaping the nature of its inhabitants, and to connect the economic institution with the social context.
• The fourth study sought to elucidate the concept of the World Trade Organization (WTO) by defining it, outlining its establishment, history, and objectives, and clarifying its operational mechanisms through its legal framework, while highlighting its principles as a mechanism for governing global trade.
• The fifth study shed light on the social and economic dimensions and their relationship to irregular migration. It addressed several key aspects in this field, including the definition of irregular migration, its social, cultural, and political causes, and reviewed its social and psychological effects on the individual, family, and society.
• The sixth study addressed the problematic impact of climate change on water resources in the rural areas of the Phosphate Plateau within the Moroccan Atlantic regions, which are characterized by scarcity in the face of demographic growth and increasing usage and consumption.

The editorial board of the journal reaffirms its commitment to publishing distinguished scholarly outputs of Arab researchers and thinkers, with the aim of disseminating scientific knowledge within the Arab community.
