Abstract

Social media has allowed its users to transmit information, opinions and multiple ideas, without restrictions or limits. In light of what was imposed by the developments and changes in the methods of communication and communication, are there any controls for the ethics of writing and publishing on the Facebook site through what is written and published on the site?

This study seeks to identify the limits and ethics of writing and publishing on the Facebook site, and how the activists of the sites deal with ethics in their writings and publications, as well as their role in shaping the knowledge of community members and their attitudes towards social issues published on the site.

The study aimed to reveal the limits and nature of the ethics of writing and publishing on Facebook, and to identify the issues that constitute a dangerous and imposed reality on the individual and society on Facebook. And the areas of transgressions of writing and publishing on Facebook and its various dimensions. The study came out with many conclusions, including:

1-Social networking sites opened the door wide for the emergence of deviant writings and publications that could not have been published in the past due to their departure from the circle of traditional ethics, which led to the spread of new phenomena in terms of perpetrators, subject and methods of committing them, which were given different names, such as information crimes, technology crimes. Information, Facebook crimes.

2-The transgressions of abuse in writing and publishing through the Facebook site are numerous and varied in nature, as there are moral transgressions affecting human honor and dignity, as well as crimes affecting public security, social peace and other crimes, and they are published and presented in various forms and methods on the Facebook site. In light of the results, several recommendations were formulated, including:

1-Legislation must be enacted to keep pace with the development taking place in social networking sites, in terms of the nature of laws, legislation and strict penalties to limit the transgression of the morality of writing and publishing on Facebook with the aim of addressing it, by presenting practical proposals that can limit the violation of the privacy of individuals and communities.

2-The necessity of upbringing and raising awareness on the proper use of means of communication and modern information technologies of all kinds, and education on the use of social sites, within the curricula and education programs since the primary stage.
